CAI UGET VAL PELLICE (Italian Alpine Club – Union of young hikers of Turin)

The UGET VAL PELLICE section, founded in 1923 as UGET (Union of young hikers of Turin), joined the Italian Alpine Club in 1940. Several Commissions operate within it, to deal with the signposting of the trails, the protection of the environment and the maintenance of the Refuges.

The section owns 3 Alpine Refuges and a Bivouac located at high altitude which have been renovated and expanded several times with the work of many members, and represent the most important accommodation facilities in the Upper Pellice Valley for mountain enthusiasts.

Each year it offers a calendar of activities that includes excursions, climbs in the Alps in Italy and abroad, cultural events (MontagnArt, a review of films about the mountains and the population living in the mountains).

It collaborates with the Cai Sections of Pinerolese in the management of a climbing-alpinism and alpine skiing schools, organizing courses with instructors every year.
